Custom conversion goals
By default, liftstack tracks standard conversion events from your CRM platform (purchases, orders). Custom conversion goals let you define additional events that count as conversions.
Setting up custom goals
When creating a campaign, navigate to Advanced > Custom Conversion Goals. Select which events from your platform should be counted as conversions. Common examples include:
- Add-to-cart events
- Subscription sign-ups
- Specific page visits
Attribution window
The attribution window is the time period after your campaign sends during which engagement events (clicks, conversions, purchases) are credited to the test. The default is 7 days, which works well for most e-commerce purchase cycles.
A click that happens 3 days after the send counts. A purchase 10 days later does not (by default). This prevents distant events, which are influenced by many other factors, from muddying your test results.
Adjust shorter for time-sensitive offers or longer for considered purchases.
Late-arriving conversions
If a significant number of conversions are arriving after your window closes, liftstack will suggest extending it for future campaigns. This helps you capture the full impact of your content without letting unrelated events distort results.
